There is no single reliable worldwide ranking we can cite for the most popular Ragdoll colour. The answer depends on what is measured: registrations, kitten sales, breeder availability, search volume or a survey of owner preferences.
Why we no longer rank colours by unsupported percentages
The previous article called seal the most popular colour and attributed the ranking to Google searches without supplying a dated dataset. That is not enough evidence for a universal claim. Search interest can also reflect curiosity, not the number of cats owned or registered.
Likewise, a colour being hard to find from one local breeder does not establish that it is the rarest colour worldwide. We do not repeat numerical rarity claims without an identifiable source, period and population.
Compare the colours for yourself
Start with deep brown seal, blue or grey, warm chocolate, pale lilac, red or flame and cream. The colour and pattern chart explains how mitted, bicolour and lynx markings affect each appearance.
Choose for your home, not a ranking
A colour you love is a reasonable preference. It should sit alongside the kitten’s observed temperament, the breeder’s health-screening evidence, socialisation and contract. A rare-colour description does not prove better health or automatically justify a higher price.
Review the costs of owning a Ragdoll and the main breed guide before committing. A well-matched companion matters more than whether its colour is fashionable.
